Dr. Neiva earned his Certficate and Master's degree in Periodontics from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. He is also a Diplomate and a Director of the American Board of Periodontology and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology.


Dr. Neiva currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Periodontics of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He is active in clinical research related to bone and soft tissue augmentation, as well as novel techniques of Implant Therapy.


Dr. Neiva has published various scientific papers and book chapters in the fields of Periodontics and Oral Implantology. He also lectures frequently both nationally and internationally, focusing on methods and techniques aimed to improve both periodontal and implant treatment outcomes.
